Filled a web form, selected the 'modification' from the dropdown as remap or something along the lines. Which loaded a page telling me to call them. I missed an initial call but got back to them and had a guy answer who wasn't shy about showing his frustration at my bad phone connection. Poor quality service. Eventually told me that they couldn't insure a simple remap because it isn't a significant enough mod. Fair enough if its made clear on the website, but I couldn't see it. Especially on filling the form out initially. Glad it led me to the one starts as I appear to have swerved this one.

27 Feb 2024I just received my insurance renewal and it's increased by 22%!
For what reason? I drove it less than a thousand miles last year! I'm 58 and as a very safe driver, insurance bills should go DOWN as there is very little risk for a proven driver!
I used to praise Green Light on social media- especially to new TVR owners, but I need to change my tune and notify owners on Pistonheads as well as Facebook to avoid.
I cannot support Greenlight any further. This is not how you treat valued customers.

The price has been a lot cheaper than anywhere else I have tried for a modified vehicle and my personal details such as my age. The company is very attentive and they are quick with responses, you can speak to someone on the phone with short wait times rather than a robot like most companies use now. 10/10

12 Jul 2023It is such a pleasure to use an insurance company where you can ring a landline number and a real person answers the phone in a speedy manner - no waiting in queues, pressing numbers or being moved from one department to another. The person who answered the call gave me a quote, I paid it by card over the phone and all docs were emailed to me in minutes. I have used this company for over 12 years now and cannot fault their customer service. Highly recommend.

They ask for a lot more information than a lot of other insurance brokers and then they can't insure me because it's a BMW. Surely when I entered the registration plate and it's a BMW they should stop you then, rather than taking all your information anyway.

10 Sept 2021Fortunately, I haven't had to test the claims process but have stuck with these guys due to ease of initially getting a quote and then the consistent annual renewal prices.
None of that ridiculous hike in price after the first year you get with so many other insurance providers.
Why change when the price is the best you're going to get. Recommended

To be 25 years old, with a heavily modified car and paying less than my 50 year old mother means it’s easier to be an enthusiast than it ever has been. Can’t fault the service at all. Luckily I’ve never had to deal with their claims side but luckily due to me not needing too!

6 Aug 2021Greenlight came recommended to me and they did not disappoint. Fantastic can do attitude on the phone and made insuring my car extremely easy. With them being a specialist in modified cars I knew they understood all of the changes I made to the car which gave me peace of mind I was properly covered.
Prices over the years of using them has always been very keen with no noticeable differences year on year. Meaning after the first few years, I didn't even bother shopping around anymore.

The staff are helpful, they have excellent prices. I added modifications to my car, changed my address and added my partner on at no extra cost. Amazing to say we're in our early 20s and have high powered cars.
The staff were all friendly and couldn't do enough to help. They reminded me in good time about renewals and spoke to an actual human instead of any automated system.
10/10 would recommend to anyone.

I am a new modified vehicle owner and had no idea most insurances companies wouldn’t offer me a policy (especially at such a great price). However, the team were so helpful on the phones, answered all of my questions and went above and beyond to find me an amazing quote! I have spoken with Charlie and Adam who have both been super patient with me and showed extreme professionalism throughout my calls. I will be recommending Greenlight to my friends and family and look forward to renewing my policy next year.

Maybe not the very cheapest quote but not most expensive but the cheaper options have hidden admin fee’s an charges so always works well an no where i stand.

Renewals are always well priced and cheaper than competitors. Don’t even shop around anymore as I don’t think the all round experience can be beaten

14 Jan 2022Not the best experience trying to get a quote. Promised callback but it never came and then when I did call, they seemed very reluctant to try and get another quote for me. I had been quoted less with another company but still wanted to shop about and go with a name I’d heard more about even if I ended up paying slightly more (see greenlight advertised a lot in owners club and via YouTuber). Quick to get through to however on the phone.

12 May 2021This will be my 3rd year with Greenlight and have nothing but pleasant things to say about them. Having dealt with other insurers over the years it's refreshing to talk to insurers that show an interest both in my car but also about me as a customer when I call. Always found a way to beat quotes I have found elsewhere but even if they didn't i'd pay the slight extra for the customer service I have been provided in the past.
